An Englishman, a Canadian and an American were captured by terrorists.
The terrorist leader said, “Before we shoot you, you will be allowed last words. Please let me know what you wish to talk about.”
The Englishman replied, “I wish to speak of loyalty and service to the crown.”
The Canadian replied, “Since you are involved in a question of national purpose, national identity, and secession, I wish to talk about the history of constitutional process in Canada, special status, distinct society and uniqueness within diversity.”
The American replied, “Just shoot me before the Canadian starts talking.”

Come on John, you know that is too far fetched…any Canadian worth his salt would just ask if there is any beer, ask the hockey scores, then be satisfied.
Surely you jest in trying to have us believe that an American would object to long winded laments on the frailties of political matters.

Absolutely. We all know that the only proper way to debate delicate matters of politics is with meat on a BBQ and a few green bottles on the table.
I must say that a few pints and darts with you chaps on a Monday night was a much better way to kick off the week than my current routine of doing neither of those things on a Monday night. Not a bad way to get the weekend rolling either.
